Who handles your information
Luis Martín Suárez is the controller of information received through this website. You can contact him at contacto@drlmartin.com or Calle Juan Bravo, 49 duplicado, 6.º B, 28006 Madrid, Spain. Full identification details are provided in the legal notice.
What we ask for and why
The form asks for your name and email address, which are needed to identify your enquiry and reply to you. You may also indicate whether you prefer a consultation in Madrid or Marbella. Without the required fields, we cannot process your enquiry through this form. We use these details to respond and arrange an initial assessment.
There is no field for symptoms or for uploading photographs or reports. Any medical information needed will be requested later through the appropriate clinical channel.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before potentially providing a service. Your details will not be used to send advertising or subscribe you to a marketing list.
Who receives your request
Requests are sent to contacto@drlmartin.com. Selecting Madrid or Marbella does not automatically forward your information to a clinic. If arranging an appointment requires a centre to handle your details, we will explain how this is organised.
The telephone and WhatsApp number +34 682 600 535 is managed directly by Luis Martín Suárez to assist his patients and arrange consultations. The doctor collaborates with Clínica Castro Sierra, but this professional contact channel is his responsibility. Channels identified as HC Marbella contacts are managed by that centre. When using WhatsApp or another external service, its own terms and privacy policies also apply.
Hosting and email services
Hosting and professional email for this website are provided through OVHcloud (OVH Hispano, S. L.). The website is hosted in Gravelines, France. Form enquiries are sent to contacto@drlmartin.com using an authenticated, encrypted connection to the email service. OVHcloud processes the information needed to provide these services on behalf of the website owner, under its data processing terms.
Retention and protection
Enquiries and related emails that do not lead to a clinical relationship will be deleted six months after the last communication, or sooner if no longer needed. Where a legal retention obligation applies or information is needed to address a claim, only the necessary data will be retained, with access restricted through the statutory blocking procedure where applicable, for the relevant periods. It will be deleted when those periods end.
If a clinical relationship begins, you will receive specific information about the handling of your data and retention of clinical records.
The form limits repeated submissions to protect the website against misuse. It uses an identifier derived from the connection, valid for fifteen minutes. This control does not store the original IP address or enquiry content in the form database. It is used for the legitimate interest of keeping the service secure and available.
The hosting service may generate technical connection logs and backups.
The email system records technical errors to identify and resolve delivery problems, with retention configured to one month. Detailed delivery debugging remains disabled.
Patient photographs and cases
Images and clinical cases are published to explain the professional activity and show individual cases, on the basis of the patient’s explicit consent under Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a) GDPR. This permission is separate from clinical care and covers the expressly authorised channels: this personal website, Instagram @dr.lmartin and, where applicable, the clinic’s publication.
The authorisation has no predetermined end date. Images may remain published while the authorised purpose continues and consent has not been withdrawn, subject to review of their continued necessity. Publications are publicly accessible; on Instagram, content is also processed by Meta under its privacy policy and may be shared by other users.
You can withdraw consent for this website and @dr.lmartin by emailing contacto@drlmartin.com and identifying the publication. We will remove the content from the channels we manage. For a publication managed by Clínica Castro Sierra, you can request removal from the centre through the channels in its privacy policy; you may also contact us to coordinate the request. We cannot guarantee removal of copies made by third parties outside our control. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Evidence of authorisation may be retained with restricted access for as long as necessary to address legal liabilities.
Your rights
Where applicable, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, or object to its processing, by emailing contacto@drlmartin.com. State which right you wish to exercise and provide the details needed to locate your request. Further identification will only be requested where necessary to verify your identity.
We will respond to your rights request within one month of receiving it. If its complexity or the number of requests requires an extension, we will explain the reason within the first month; the extension may be up to two further months. Exercising these rights is free of charge, subject to the legal exceptions for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency. Website enquiries are not used for automated decision-making or marketing profiles.
